eTwinning Fifth Birthday Card Competition

eTwinning - The Community for Schools in Europe - is five years old!

To celebrate five years of partnerships online, the British Council is holding an eTwinning Fifth Birthday Card Competition to design a birthday card. Get involved with the celebrations and encourage your students to design a fifth birthday card and they could win a £250 voucher for the school and have their work displayed in a special online gallery!

The birthday cards must represent the eTwinning philosophy of learning, partnership, creativity, collaboration and innovation and demonstrate your students' creativity and originality. They can be 2D or 3D, and can be made with any materials or mixed media.

How to Enter

Firstly, you need to be a registered member of www.etwinning.net

You'll need to complete an online entry form. This includes space for a description of the entry or explanatory information, up to a maximum of 200 words. Then, upload up to three digital photographs of each card. Although the cards can be any size, each image file must be a jpeg or tiff no larger than 1Mb.

There are four age categories. Younger pupils entering the 3 to 6 or 7 to 10 categories must make group entries - they can work in small groups or as a whole class. Older students entering the 11 to 15 and 16 to 18 categories must submit individual entries.

The closing date for receipt of all entries is midnight 15 September 2010. Entries received after this date will not be accepted.
